TVC PTA UNIT PRESIDENTS' "COFFEE TALK"
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2012 - 9:30 am
TVUSD CONFERENCE ROOMS B & C (map)
PRESIDENTS! Bring your Parliamentarian with you and/or your Nominating Committee chair. Round table discussions will include the slating process as well as "How do we approach volunteers at our schools to get involved?" Then, in keeping with our "Back to Basics" theme, we are very lucky to have City Council Woman Maryann Edwards coming to speak with us about how to "Streamline the PTA Process" so that we don't burn out, or so that our parents and volunteers don't burn out. Additionally, she will talk about how to get the most out of very little. Please make sure your unit is represented at this event. It is a tremendous opportunity to gain some insight from a woman that has run MANY successful non-profit organizations, mostly through the use of volunteers. TVUSD Superintendent Tim Ritter will also be there to help "fill in the blanks" if any of you might have questions as to what our PTAs can and cannot do in our district.
